The Center for Cooperative Principles is participating with groups and individuals around the world celebrating the International Day of Peace September 21st and is offering an International Day of Peace Education Resource Packet.

International Day of Peace
September 21st

The International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21st, was established by a United Nations resolution in 1981. The International Day of Peace is an opportunity to join with people around the world exploring and celebrating our capacity for goodness, cooperation, and the creative potential of the human spirit in constructing a peaceful and sustainable future.

The International Day of Peace Education Resource Packet is a practical guide to learn about and participate in the International Day of Peace.

This packet includes:
  • Educating for a Culture of Peace

  • Activities for elementary, middle, and high school students

  • Information about International Day of Peace projects
